MUM FC Girls Football (10 -18 yrs)

Our girl’s teams are going from strength to strength as numbers grow. As a Club how do we further strengthen the foundations we have at MUM FC? There are fantastic opportunities for MUM FC girls, such as opportunities to play up a division, Skill Development Programmes, goal keeper training, playing in mixed football, volunteering and upskilling in refereeing, linesperson and coaching, be mentored or buddy up with Women’s Players from Amateur and National Premier League squads and represent various forms of football across and outside of the club and state.

From 2020, MUM FC will participate in the inaugural Women’s National Premier League (NPLW). The League comprises of Under 21 and an Open Age First Team. Girls above the age of 14 may be identified to play in this stream after trials and registration or assessment based on merit throughout the season. In the NPLW League, our best Western Australian players compete, the opportunity is there to be identified for Perth Glory and State Teams.

Our commitment to the girls at MUM FC is to create opportunities, support your development and progress towards your dreams.

The trials for all first division places are conducted in November and February led by the Club Technical Director and Coaches of the girls teams.

A link to submit an expression of interest becomes available on the MUM FC website at the time of trials – this is an invitation for you to register for trials and should be returned as soon as possible for you to participate.

Absolutely, please encourage your school friends, other sports friends, siblings to register and give it a go!

Assessments will be undertaken by the club’s Technical Director and Club Coaches on either one or two nights depending on the number of players trialing.

You will be offered a position within a particular team according to your age and ability (as recommended by the Technical Director and Coaches). You may also be offered an opportunity to join the Girls Academy.

During the team trials in February, girls will be identified and provided with an opportunity to consider joining the elite squad.

The Club is committed to providing opportunities for all girls to play and will support players with an opportunity to play in the ‘best fit’ scenario for you and the club.

No, the Girls Academy is designed as a development opportunity with additional training sessions and you will play the season with the team that you have been identified to play in.

Of course you can! The Community Teams are for exactly that! If joining MUM FC is about wanting to play with mates, we support that! New players, fostering mateship, confidence and development are what sport is all about. We will encourage that in any stream of football at MUM FC.

Places are offered in the Development Stream to players who are showing us that they are ready to play above a Community level. This may mean you may not be in the same team as your friends in the First Division and Academy squads, when you are ready to sign up. However you will make new friends and this will further strengthen your confidence, growth and our Club! Players can move between squads through the season as identified by Coaches and as players grow and develop.

Registration commences early January and we encourage all girls to register as soon as possible as places fill very quickly! If you have any registration questions please contact the Club Registrar registrar@mumfc.com.au or click the Register Now button on this page.

The first step in our Club Strategy is to undertake trials and team allocations. These happen between November and February. Come along to the preseason Small Sided Games in January and February and the Club Open Day in February and meet your team mates and Coaches. Keep an eye on the club home page and facebook page for more information on these events as we move towards the new season.
