MUMFC is excited to announce its Technical Staff for 2025!
Gavin Brown and Sean D’Arcy will be joining Sam Gallagher in implementing our football development plan from 2025 onwards.
Gavin Brown is returning to MUMFC in a new role that the club has created to facilitate the best development of young players in the U13s-U23s age groups. Gavin has a wealth of experience in WA football coaching both juniors and seniors and most recently has been Head Coach of the U13s Perth Glory FC Academy team. Gavin also oversees the John Curtin Football Program and went away with the most recent State Teams for the National Youth Championship in July. He will predominantly be working in the JDL and U18s and Reserves MSL space while assisting in the development of all coaches in the U13s-U23s age groups across both boys and girls teams.
Sean D’Arcy is new to MUMFC and comes with an amazing depth of knowledge and experience in coaching young footballers. Sean has most recently been the Technical Director at Ellenbrook as well as running the Pre-Academy program at Perth Glory FC with Gavin. He will be taking up a role overseeing the development of players and coaches in the younger age groups at MUMFC, from our U6s-U9s Miniroos to our U9s-U12s Academy teams. He will also be assisting in the coach development of all of our U10s-U12s teams.
Sam will be staying on as our Technical Director to work closely with Gavin and Sean, as well as the WNPL and MSL Coaching staff to make sure the club is aligned throughout its programs. He will also still be heavily involved in the Football Mastery Program that runs throughout the School Terms on a Monday evening and the School Holiday Camps.
Sam, Gavin and Sean are all A-Licenced Coaches who also work in the football programs at 3 of the biggest football schools in Perth in Lake Joondalup, John Curtin and South Coast. Between them they have worked across all age groups and are also perfectly aligned with the club culture and philosophy.
MUMFC is already a huge community club with one of the largest number of playing member s in WA and by creating this new Technical Staff structure we are aiming to become a great pathway for talented young players to grow and develop.
